Beschreibung
Jancis Robinson: 75-year-old vines but same winemaking as Réserve du Fils. 100% hand-destemmed – made two barrels.Lightish crimson but a little darker than the Réserve du Fils. Darker and more savoury and yet at the same time with this beautiful stemmy lift on the nose that accentuates the fruit without any sweetness. The merest hint of oak sweetness and spice. Tannins are refined but built by an architect to carry the whole and frame the fruit. In the Réserve du Fils, the freshness is the touchstone. Here the freshness is part of the wine’s beauty and intensity and the tannins part of the freshness. 18,5/20 (2022)
