Falstaff: Kräftiges klares Gelb. Konzentrierte Fruchtnase, subtile Würze. Am Gaumen enorm stoffig und mineralisch, sehr warm serviert, griffig, noch etwas bitter und hefewürzig, unfertig, aber zweifellos ein großer Wein. 95/100

James Suckling: Quite toasty on the nose, which is probably from bottle maturation. This Morstein is so bold, richly textural and dry that you could mistaken it for a grand cru white burgundy! Some dry German rieslings of this vintage has dominant tannins, but here this quality gives the wine an extra dimension of power. At 13.5% alcohol, this is the heaviest Wittmann Morstein of recent times. Drink or hold. Made from biodynamically grown grapes. 95/100

Wine Enthusiast: Richly textured and unabashedly full in body, this dry Riesling is intensely ripe. Pineapple and peach flavor is accented by zesty lime peel and earthy tones of wet stone and lanolin. The midpalate is lifted by a whiff of violet perfume and bold, lemon-lime acidity envigorates the finish. 92/100

Jancis Robinson: Already deep straw colour. Mouthfilling. Very grandiose. Very serious dry Riesling in the Clos Ste Hune mould. Chewy finish for the moment. Drier than most. Surely a bit stronger than most too? 18/20
