Robert Parker: Mouthwatering already in aroma, the Keller 2010 Niersteiner Pettenthal Riesling Grosses Gewachs site-typically gushes with fresh tangerine, lemon, and white peach tinged with salt and crushed stone and wreathed with flowers and smoke. Another instance in this collection of lift, elegance, and sheer refreshment such as one too seldom encounters among Grosse Gewachse, this finishes with tongue-tingling vibrancy, persistently perfumed and mouthwatering, promising excitement over at least the next 6-8 years. Jancis Robinson: Very pale gold. Lots of spice and golden richness on the nose, with a breadth from the bottle age but still a rocky mineral – almost dusty – quality in addition to maturing aromas of citrus and apricot. That breadth is on the palate too but it is held in shape and pulled in to a long finish by the very fine lemon-fresh acidity, which is now clothed in the more mature spicy flavours and perhaps even a hint of honey, though the wine tastes dry. Delicious and went very well with cod baked with anchovies, capers and lemon. I don't think it is about to fall over but I would enjoy it now, if you still have some. 17,5/20 (2016)
