Falstaff: Mittleres Rubingranat, breiterer Ockerrand. In der Nase zart animalisch, feiner Nougat, angenehmer Brombeertouch, exotische Würze, attraktiv und verführerisch. Am Gaumen saftig, frisch strukturiert, sehr elegant, feine Textur, mineralischer Nachhall, zarte Weichselnote, zitronige Nuancen, trinkanimierender, rotbeeriger Abgang. 91/100

Jeff Leve: Fully mature, if you own a bottle, or more, do not wait to pop a cork before the fruit continues to fade. There is still plenty to like in this medium-bodied, earthy, herbal, tobacco, smoke, and leafy focused wine, with its soft textures and earthy, red currant core of fruit. But it does require drinking sooner than later. 90/100

Jancis Robinson: Nicolas Glumineau chose to serve this after the 1996 at the château and perhaps it was not flattered by the proximity. It's a nice wine that would probably shine in isolation but seemed a little tart and green on the nose (like so many 1985s now) – even though the texture was superb. If you have a case, start to drink it! 17/20
