James Suckling: A dark and fruity wine with aromas of brambleberries, plums, prunes, licorice, smoke, wood and a hint of flowers. Full-bodied with flavors of coffee grounds and chocolate, plus firm dusty tannins, sustained acidity and a polished finish. It’s slightly rustic yet savory. 96/100

Jancis Robinson: Dark lustrous crimson. Warm graphite and, it has to be said, strong Cabernet aromas. Very appetising and vigorous with fine tannins on the finish and no excess alcohol or oak. Extremely hedonistic without being sweet. Real focus. Awfully youthful. I'm about to decant it. But long and rich even though it finishes dry. Vibrant. Somehow seems more vigorous than many a fine red bordeaux. 18/20

Vinum: Viel Sonne und Wärme zeichnet den Jahrgang aus, das Ergebnis ist kraftvoll und opulent: Duftet verführerisch nach Schwarzkirschen, Leder, Tabak, Blüten, Graphit; konzentriert und facettenreich im Mund, die Tannine engmaschig und perfekt abgerundet, endet lang und überraschend frisch auf Noten von Kirschen, Waldbeeren und Kräutern. Sollte man zu einem leckeren Wildgericht geniessen. 18.5/20
