Jane Anson: Jewel-ruby colour, softening around the edges. A heat wave vintage, and this kicks off with a crackle of woodsmoke, welcoming and bright, sour cherry, mirabelle plum, plenty of bright acidity followed by liqourice and graphite minerality. Sangiovese dominant in aromatics and flavours, almost old school Chianti in feel. So charming, this is very much in its drinking window, with fine tannins and a punch of juice on the finish.
