James Suckling: There's cedar and sandalwood undertone to this Barolo with ripe fruit and milk chocolate as well. Medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a long, flavorful finish. A late release from a fine producer of Barolo showing energy and tension. 94/100 (2015)

Jancis Robinson: Serralunga d’Alba. Lustrous deep ruby with orange tinges. Reluctant, minerally and stony nose with a leafy edge to it. Really youthful palate with bags of cherry and strawberry. Tangy acidity on the finish, with finely chiselled but muscular tannins. Very young and impressively balanced. 17/20 (2015)

Wine Enthusiast: Ripe berry, aromatic herb, rose, violet, anise, leather and a whiff of tobacco all meld together on this firmly structured wine. The full-bodied, gripping palate delivers mature black cherry, licorice, underbrush and dark baking spice alongside youthfully assertive but velvety-textured tannins. Drink 2019–2029. 93/100 (2016)
