Beschreibung
Decanter: 1990 was the first vintage that Isole e Olena really felt changes in the climate; 1988 was a warning, and in 1990 they had to face the issue. The grapes were riper than usual, and Paolo admitted to having harvested a little too early. Secondary aromas are coming through now, with an undergrowth and black truffle bouquet. The palate is rich and bold, with a tannic structure and dried fruit characters. 92/100 (2017)
