Parker: Picked on November 30th at -7.8 degrees Celsius (so, very early), the 2016 Erdener Herrenberg Riesling Eiswein is based on 100% healthy and frozen berries that sound like marbles when they fall into the bucket. The nose is super clear, fresh and precise, with flinty flavors. This is a gorgeously focused and finessed Eiswein on the palate—lithe, precise and elegant, with great balance and crisp, salty acidity. This is like a laser sword cutting your tongue into two parts. The finish is highly stimulating, and if a stimulating Eiswein has ever been produced, it must be this one. Total production: 500 liters.
