Falstaff: Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Ockerrandaufhellung. Zart nach Kräuter und Vanille, feiner Edelholztouch, schwarze Waldbeeren, Lakritze und Cassis, ein Hauch von Nougat, Orangenzesten im Hintergrund. Mittlerer Körper, rote Herzkirschen, feine Tannine, etwas Schokolade im Abgang, gute Frische und Balance, gut entwickelter, kulinarischer Wein mit Charme, kann bereits gut getrunken werden. Suckling: Deep, savory nose with plenty of blackberry fruit, plus notes of bitter chocolate and roasted meat. At once ripe and generous, but also lively and pleasantly dry, thanks to the moderate amount of fine tannin, this has more elegance and complexity at the finish than many wines of the vintage. Galloni: The 2012 Figeac has a broody and backward bouquet with black fruit, autumn leaves, truffle and cedar. Not unlike Lafleur. The palate is fresh on the entry with pliant tannins, open and generous, layers of red fruit with a dash of white pepper and allspice. It fans out wonderfully towards the finish that just lacks a bit of persistence. The second bottle at Bordeaux Index's tasting shows a little more spiciness on the finish.
