Parker: Aldo Conterno’s 2008 Langhe Chardonnay Bussiador shows terrific minerality and verve in this vintage, along with less French oak influence. Varietal notes flow effortlessly from this sexy, energetic Chardonnay.
Galloni: Complex, ripe aromas of papaya, citrus peel, quince, marzipan, butterscotch and verbena, with a note of crystallized pineapple emerging with air. Dense, layered and quite dry, with the oak element giving way to purer mid-palate fruit. Fat and silky but not a powerful style. Finishes with a note of nutty oak and fresh acidity.
