It represents a special selection of grapes from within the estate's Bellaria vineyard that is planted to the same Bordeaux varieties used to make the Biserno. The 2016 Lodovico is an exceptional expression with enormous depth and a contemporary taste profile that weighs concentration and power against the careful precision of the varieties used in the blend. The results are sharp and focused, allowing for detailed renditions of blackberry and plum followed by elegance, spice, toast and chocolate. The tannins are sweet and carefully integrated within the rich fiber of the wine. Tenuta di Biserno has found its stride. 99/100

Falstaff: Glänzendes, intensives Rubinrot-Violett. Zeigt in der Nase grandioses Spiel, nach Koriandersamen und Kardamom, sehr klar, dahinter viel Brombeere. Satt in Ansatz und Verlauf, entfaltet sich mit viel geschmeidigem, dichtmaschigem Tannin, baut sich in vielen Schichten auf, dunkle Beerenfrucht, im Finale würzig. 99/100
