Sekthaus Raumland Blanc de Noir 2008

Parker: The 2008 Grande Réserve Blanc de Noirs Brut is a pure Pinot Noir that was aged on the secondary lees for at least 120 months. The vividly colored disgorgement from September 2021 is deep, pure and intensely aromatic on the complex and alluring nose that indicates a serious and complex sparkling wine for poultry dishes. The attack on the palate is pure and enormously fresh, but the wine is also full-bodied, round and textural, with well-integrated mineral acidity and an intense as well as sustainable mineral finish. This is an exciting Pinot sparkler not coming from Champagne but Rheinhessen stretching to the Pfalz. My favorite in this Raumland lineup. 11.5% alcohol. Tasted in December 2021. 93/100

Falstaff: Im Duft findet man zugleich Hefewürze und einen Hauch tertiärer Aromen. Lakritze. Mit Standzeit im Glas immer mehr Burgunderwürze. Im Mund mit geschmeidigem Auftakt und deutlicher Süße, die Säure gibt Festigkeit und Halt, sattes Mousseux. Subtil würzige Abgangsaromatik. 93/100
