Chateau Leoville Barton 2eme Cru 2014 in 12er Holzkiste

Lobenberg: Viel schwarze Kirsche in der Nase, auch Brombeere und Cassis. Guter, dichter, voller, reicher Mund. Zuerst schwarze Kirsche, dann Sauerkirsche, rote Kirsche, Johannisbeere. Nur wenig Cassis und Brombeere darunter. Ein wenig Waldhimbeere. Tolles Salz, provenzialische Kräuter, Thymian, Koriander. Veilchen und etwas Lakritze, Assam-Tee. Das ist ein schöner Strauß von Aromen im Mund, mit einer guten Länge. Tolle samtige Tanninstruktur und dazu seidige Feinheit. Ein sehr gelungener Leoville Barton, für mich sogar besser als 2012. Noch besser als die meisten Saint Juliens in diesem Jahr. Alle drei Leovilles sind superb und würdige Verfolger des 2014er Superstars der Appellation, Ducru. Aber welcher Leoville ist der Beste? Dieser Wein gefällt mir jedenfalls sehr. 95-96+/100

Parker: The 2014 Leoville Barton is one of the must-buys of the vintage. Now in bottle, it has a very pure bouquet that gains intensity in the glass, laden with blackberry and raspberry coulis scents, cold wet stone, a wonderful mineralité that becomes more conspicuous with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with tensile tannin, a fine line of acidity that lends this precision and nervosité. There is class and sophistication in situ, not a powerful Léoville Barton, but beautifully poised. This is just a brilliant forerunner to the 2015 and it should represent great value. 94/100
